it takes little to make me happy (2)


Today I have an unexpected hour all to myself. I have come home early to deal with work email correspondence that tends to pile up during the week. "Unfortunately", for some unknown reason, I have been denied access to my work email account... So here I am, enjoying a cup of coffee and a slice of vanilla streusel cake. In front of my the most beautiful pile of freshly cut soap, a batch that I made on Monday. The smell is absolutely divine and permeates the whole house: rhubarb & custard. The rhubarb layer not quite as red as I had planned and the custard a bit more yellow than expected but close enough, don't you think? A perfect moment of happiness indeed.

    I does indeed smell like those hardboiled rhubarb and custard sweets. Hiding it so the wee ones aren't to tempted.
