Christmas miscellany

The last few days have been rather lovely. There were presents on Christmas Day.

These were opened with great excitement by all. I wasn't quite jumping up and down with joy but very pleased with my gifts.

The gifts were played with.

Or used go beautify our Christmas table. My mum made this candle holder for me. Isn't it beautiful?

There was plenty of knitting time

and gazing out of windows, day and night.

The hyacinth flowers are just about to unfold. I can't wait for the scent to waft through the house.

We ate lovely food prepared by Richard. Not too much and not too little.

We made two Lebkuchen houses using extra stiff Royal icing to glue the walls together.

Annie made chocolates for everybody (peanut butter cups, raspberry whites, caramel cups, triple choc cups

We went for wintery walks in the Botanics and in Victoria Parc.

We even found signs of spring.

Dogs are not allowed in the green houses in the Botanics.

We also went for muddy walks.

With our four legged ping pong ball.

What did you do these past few days? I hope you all had a lovely time, too! Richard and I are off for another week and we have lots of plans. No doubt it will be hard to get back into the routines of work and school but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Have a great week! Cx
