Thankful Tuesday

Every now and then I like to connect to Katie's at Life With the Crew. Every Tuesday, Katie posts about something she is thankful for. Go and have a look at her amazing photos today!

not the most fetching of picnic bags.... but a priceless moment nonetheless.
There are many layers of thankfulness. Sometimes I feel thankful for living in a peaceful country where I don't have to fear for my life and for that of my loved ones, and a country where fresh and safe water is the norm rather than the exception. Other times, I feel thankful for two minutes of breathing space, a shiny hob, or for being able to fall into my bed and go under to wake up to another day, refreshed.

But today I am feeling particularly thankful for the longer days Spring brings, the possibility of snoozing on a picnic blanket in the grass listening to birdsong and children's chatter.

I am also thankful for all your kind posts on Annie's blog post, she is so very happy.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Hey Christina,
    Lovely photo.
Today I am thankful for that quiet hour before the school run. It's the time I sit with a cup of tea, and relax.

  2. I agree with all that you say in the first paragraph. So much to be grateful for living here. Plus I really enjoyed a few minutes in the sun with a good book today. It felt like a summer's day. CJ xx

  3. I think you've summed thankfulness up so well, it can be anything from a tiny, mundane thing to something huge. I love the photo and get you in the top you made yourself. I'm off to read Annie's post now.

  4. I think that photo of the two of you is simply gorgeous. Look at the love, it is perfect. I am thankful for so much, like my country, my freedom and available food and water. On a much more selfish note, I am thankful to be able to have a few minutes to sit and crochet this afternoon during Little Buddy's nap.
    Hugs,
    Meredith

  8. There are so many things to be thankful for every day that it's hard to list them all. I'm especially thankful that my husband's fall from his bike didn't end up being a lot worse.

  9. Lovely photo - and you in your new top as well! I'm about to take my cup of tea outside and sit in the sunshine for ten minutes before carrying on with today's work - I'm thankful that I have the sort of life that lets me do that. Counting my blessings is something I try to do on a regular basis xx

  10. I'm trying to get over a chest infection this week and today I'm grateful that my father in law has come over to help look after Lulu. He also did the school run this afternoon. I've been able to take it easy today and get some rest and I feel very thankful. X

  11. Right now I am thankful for the cosy cup of hot chocolate I am sipping as I catch up on blog reading. It is absolutely freezing here again ( feels like winter here near Toronto!)and this cuppa is slowly warming me up!

  12. A person without thankfulness must carry their cup exceedingly level, or cry over spilt milk. Such a lovely post, thank you.
