November moan

Just a few lines today to moan about the weather. It is miserable. Let me repeat this. It is miserable. It really is. It has been like that for about 10 days. It seems like that at least. Maybe I have forgotten to good few hours? Not even the dog wants to go outside. I don't blame him but I make him go anyway. It is grey, dark and extremely wet and windy. The netting of the trampoline has been safely stored away to avoid it being ripped. We are holding hands tightly outside because of the strong gusts. The rain mostly seems to come sideways, or as tiny ice balls. Throats are permanently sore and voices husky. Children are tired and cranky. I am tired and cranky, too. The previously colourful crunchy leaves are now brown and slimy and treacherous and I my bike commute to work is far from pleasant. My duct tape repaired waterproofs have finally ripped beyond repair. I am wet most of the day. If I wasn't sharing my office with 8 men, I would probably choose to sit in my underpants because all is wet.

On the bright side, today I am working from home. At least I have a dry bum. And just as I am typing this, the clouds have parted for a fleeting two minutes to reveal a bright blue sky. Better get that dog out while it lasts.

Have a good week my friends. Thanks for stopping by and saying hello. Cxx

  3. I hate it when it's cold, wet and grey, I get grumbly too. Have you thought of keeping an extra set of clothes at work you can change into?

  4. Hey Christina,
The weather has been pretty awful here too. It sucks the energy from me. I'm glad that you were able to keep your bottom dry today. There's nothing worse than a damp rear end.

  6. It is not good to work with wet clothes might be an idea to take and leave some clothes at the office. The weather forecast is not looking good storm Barney is on the way bringing, yes you guessed, more rain! Lets hope the forecast is wrong, it invariably is....
