you know - that moment

:: that moment when the alarm clock drags me out of an amazing imaginary world. Just unbearable.

:: that moment when I realised that the wide path I chose for a safer bike ride home suddenly ended and turned into a flooded field. The lighting I imagined illuminating this area was also not present, it was pitch black, and my extraordinarily strong lights were swallowed by the darkness. What was I thinking?

:: that moment when I noticed that the package waiting on the stairs for several days was not the husbands big fat bike magazine but is in fact mine. Exiting.

:: that moment when I realised that I may well not be able to get back out of the squat during my first exercise class in about three years. Embarrassing.

:: that moment when I admitted to myself that I could have been nicer to a friends child. Hopefully forgiven.

:: that moment when I sat on my bike seat and realised it was wet. What can I say?

:: that moment when I unpacked our shopping and noticed that Richard bought a bunch of daffodils. Lovely.

:: that moment when I rushed back from work to school to sort out 'an accident' and found that the child had sorted the problem himself. Annoying.

:: that moment when I remembered how spooky the 'X files' always were. Thrilling.

:: that moment when I got randomly shouted at by my darling daughter. A mystery.

:: that moment when finally it is time to collapse on the sofa (and maybe watch an episode of the X files). Priceless.

As you may have guessed, nothing much has been happening here this week. Life is like that sometimes. The photos are totally random and unrelated to the post. They were taken last weekend, when there was snow. It is, of course, all gone.

I have noticed a few new followers. It is good see you here, welcome all! I hope you enjoy your visits. Have a lovely day. xx

  1. Hey Christina,
I'm gearing up for a similar post. Life trucks on, with a wet bottom or two. I never watched X Files the first tie around. Is it really spooky, or would a wuss like me be able to handle it?

    1. It is spooky in a late 80s kind of way, you know? Special effects have come a long way since then. xx

  6. Love reading blog posts like this. Yes, it's so annoying when you're rudely woken from a lovely dream. Maybe one night you could try picking it up where you left off. The daffs were a thoughtful addition to the shopping basket. Never ever happens here (unless I'm the one doing the shopping).

  10. Is sitting on a wet bike seat the same as climbing over a fallen tree covered in snow on my walk and feeling a chill from the dampness? Just wondering :-)

  20. Lovely post of moments. And you have snow! I am a wee bit jealous, that first pic is so pretty and the children and pups look like they're having a lot of fun. Keep warm and cosy :)

  21. I'm a big advocate of posting photos which bear no relation to the subject in hand. But really they're all snippets from our lives, aren't they?
The snow here was magical but yes, short-lived. I'm hoping for more. Anything but this endless dreary grey and miserable rain. Daffodils help.
I hope you have a lovely week.
