outdoor dining anyone?

Hello all, how are you? We are back from our holiday, it was fabulous. I have not had a chance to sort through my photos, nor have I gathered my thoughts but fear not, I'll get there.

In the meantime, I'll show you what I saw this morning, out in the back. We arrived home at 3 am and I was soundly asleep until at 8 am the house started shaking and loud banging accompanied the rather disconcerting feeling of a house on the move. It was not an earthquake or any other unforeseen natural disaster, just the builders working on a Saturday.

This is our dining room. Needless to say the house is on the chilly side! Have a great Sunday. xx

  1. Not the best way to be woken up, but it is progress. Can't wait to see you pictures from Turkey.

  2. How disconcerting to be woken by the builders, at least progress is been made. Looking forward to hearing all about your break away.

  3. I had a similar look to my previous house when the back wall needed replacing due to water damage. I was so worried, not least because I was 8 months pregnant with my first baby and on bedrest at the time, but it worked out fine. Thankfully. :)

  5. Mercy! What a dramatic wake up call, but hopefully worth it in the end. I'm so glad your trip was a success and I will be interested to view what you have to show and tell us about it. Welcome Home :) xx

  6. Welcome ...home? I remember one of my little girls saying 'aren't we going to have a roof anymore to let the sun in' when we had our extension. At home with two children who were not at school, it was a memorable experience.See you soon. Jo x

  13. Oh crikey, just keep telling yourself it will be worth it. Many years ago in our old cottage we spent a day and night with no windows, I was in bed with an awful cold at the time......it didn't help my recovery!

  14. We've got all this to come in the next year as we are extending the kitchen. Hope it all progresses well and you have walls soon!
