thanksgiving
It has been a rather sh**y for various reason but I woke this morning to find the sun shining and I really can't be in a bad mood today.
Thank you for your advice on trees. We haven't decided yet. I forgot to say that our neighbour has a cherry tree that is cropping. This is unusual for Scotland and maybe an indication of the microclimate in this neighbourhood. Really, I am trying to convince myself that a quince would do ok, despite previous evidence. I am trying to find a variety that flowers late, to avoid the early spring storms.
Thank you also for continuing to read my blog, and to leave comments. It is nice to think of you reading these pages. It makes me happy to think that sometimes I make you smile and maybe, just maybe, skip through your day with just a little more joy.
Thank you for your words of encouragements when things are not great. Thanks for being kind to me even when you maybe think "common, get a grip".
Your friendship means a lot to me. Thank you.
Anyway, before I get too sentimental, I hope you are looking forward to a nice weekend. Mine is going to be busy - a nice kind of busy. See you later xx

Have a great weekend. For once we are not going to do much at all, maybe a little reading and TV.
ReplyDeleteRight back at you Christina. I'm so glad we connected through blogging. Yours is one of my favourites. My weekend will also be busy but nice I hope. X
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, it feels so real warts and all.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing what a sunny day can do for us.
Glad the sun is shining for you. Where would we be without our blogging friends. Have a good weekend. B x
ReplyDeleteFrom the first time I read your blog, I wanted to read more and more. You're wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so lovely, they make me want to be there. A little sunshine really can make the world look a lot better. Above all clouds rides the burning sun. Always.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the sunshine warmed your day and made you smile. Lovely photos. Hope you enjoy your weekend. It is always lovely to visit your place, Christina.

ReplyDeleteLove the reflections. Good for you for choosing to smile on a sunny day, despite the craziness of life. Yesterday was a rough day here, but now the sun is shining here this morning too and so its a fresh start. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteGlorious autumnal pictures. Thanks for blogging and sharing snippets of your colourful life with us. A visit here never fails to cheer. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou never fail to make me smile and brighten my day Christina and I would miss your blog if ever you stopped writing. . I hope your weekend is good xx
ReplyDeleteI hope the grotty things go away and life improves. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteNo one thinks get a grip, we all have imperfect lives, no one with children can say any different. Well except my next door neighbor who has one son in med school, one going into med school and a daughter going to get her Master degree in economics. Did I tell you that they are all really beautiful and lovely?
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog and have found real friendship in our similarities. Your photos are rather 'reflective' and I think we all feel like that sometimes. I have just announced I am having a sewing day because I have been eveyone's slave this half term week! Jo x
ReplyDeleteSometimes the only thing to do is to keep on keeping on, isn’t it? Hope you feel better soon x
ReplyDeletei'm sure my package gave such a bit of cheer. And all the above comments are so lovely and deserved by you! x
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the wonderful things about the blogeverse..
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend was nice.. not too busy.
I have so enjoyed reading your posts that I've missed recently - it's always such a treat to catch up with what you've been doing and your photos are always fabulous. A very late New Year's Resolution (or perhaps a very early one) is to not let my blog reading slide as it's only when I start catching up again that I realise how much I've missed it. Thank you for being here! xx
ReplyDeleteSunshine can lift the spirit in so many ways besides warmth. I too am thankful for meeting so many new and interesting folks through blogging, especially as it is my only form of social media..
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy reading your blog Christina, you always make me smile. I never think 'get a grip' when I read it, you always seem far busier than me but appear to thrive on it. We're all different and isn't that good. Be happy in whatever you do xx
ReplyDeleteOlá, lindas imagens. Feliz semana. cumprimentos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflective photos. The blogging world can be a great source of info & recommendations along with some comfort. Ah if just "getting a grip" was so easy. As we move into November with all its less light & chill I know I am going to be having those moments of not having a handle on emotions so cheers to the moments of sunshine & being outside. I think Nature is such a tonic. Raising my tea mug to cheer you on for a better day, a better week ahead. =^..^=
ReplyDeleteHey Christina,
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate those shitty days?
I'm catching up with my favourite blogs, and am hopeful that you are feeling less urgh and more yay. The sun cannot fail to lift those spirits. Thank you for your friendship, solidarity and support. I love visiting you here. Real, warm and honest.
Leanne xx
Hi Christina, I was thinking earlier that I hadn't seen a post from you in a while and wondered whether you were ok. It turns out you've been posting away but for some reason they've not been coming up in my reader. Grr! I'm so glad you are fine and still writing away. Sorry I've missed several posts - I will catch up now :-) I love your blog (hence me wondering where you were) and I love popping by to catch up with your Glasgow life. Hope you're feeling tonnes better. Sam x
