people make Glasgow
People make Glasgow, they say. It is the city's brand, which was rolled out in 2013, or thereabouts. If you are visiting, you can't miss the white letters on pink background on the side of bins, on walls, on banners, inside buses and even on buildings.
Not all people make Glasgow, that's for sure. But we try.

Haha. My spouse and I visited Glasgow in 2017 and this brand was prominently on display. It made me feel safe and warm and, as expected, people were terrific. Hearing our Canadian accents, locals would (more than once) politely ask, "What part of the U.S. are you from?" When we explained we were Canadian, they would lean in and say, "Why would the U.S. elect that vile, vile man?" Lol. I can't fathom it either (or the possibility of it happening again) but here we are. Nevertheless, these shared moments created an instant bond. I hope to someday return.
