postcards from Cornwall

I don't know about you but I always feel a little down in the dumps after a lovely holiday. The thought of the daily grind is a bit overwhelming. I am slowly finding my balance and I am looking back at my photos, thinking about the lovely time we've had. The few stressful holiday moments quietly slip into the background to leave room for the enjoyable, exiting and beautiful memories:

the rugged shorelines around Portscatho, Cornwall

conquering a mountain

a daily walk to Portscatho for a newspaper and pastries, or for no reason at all

visiting Mevagissey and eating pasties in the outer harbour

watching Jack enjoy his first holiday

flying kites
admiring roof tops

water fun

the six of us spending time together

small beauty

meeting new and old friends and catching up with family

long and short walks

and finally the full moon

I hope you enjoyed this postcard story of our holiday. I think I'll be bookmarking this page for a few weeks to draw energy from the beauty I have captured. Cxx

  10. Christina, these are beautiful photo collages! You did a great job of arranging them. The one of little Jack made me smile. I love the large photo in your "walks" collage, following the path through the tall grasses.

  11. Lovely collages! I love Cornwall, my aunt lived there for 5 years of my childhood so I used to visit often as a child until she moved back when I was 10. I haven't been that way at all since 1999 but I really want to holiday in Cornwall next year.

  12. Lovely photos that bring back equally lovely memories of a holiday we had in Portscatho a couple of years ago. I'm the opposite and I'm always ready and excited to be coming home at the end of a holiday. It recharges my batteries. I'm ready to go away now though!

  21. Hey Christina,
You've captured the flavour of your holiday perfectly. And I love the six of you in a row. I spend a lot of time admiring the rooftops of Cornwall too; it's the higgledy piggledy nature of them I guess.
